I-95 Reopens After Two-Vehicle Crash In Norwalk

NORWALK, Conn. — Northbound I-95 was closed late Thursday because of a two-vehicle crash in Norwalk, according to the state Department of Transportation. 

The highway was closed between Exits 16 and 17 because of the accident. I-95 was congested for nearly 3 miles between Exits 14 and 17. Traffic was also heavy on side streets with cars and trucks diverted from I-95 onto Route 1 and other roads, DOT said. 

Norwalk police urged drivers to seek alternate routes. 

The crash was first reported Thursday, April 20, at about 9:30 p.m., DOT said. I-95 was still closed an hour later.
