Fire Causes Brief Evacuation On Ridgefield's Main Street

RIDGEFIELD, Conn. – A small fire on a sidewalk on Ridgefield’s Main Street caused several businesses to vacate their buildings, according to the Ridgefield Press.

An object was left burning on the sidewalk Thursday near Main Street and Bailey Avenue, which set off a fire alarm, the Ridgefield Press reported.

After a few minutes, officials permitted those evacuated to return to their businesses, the Ridgefield Press said.
