Drunk Driver From Norwalk Charged With Nearly Hitting Wilton Police Car

WILTON, Conn. -- A Norwalk woman nearly hit a Wilton police cruiser while she was reportedly driving under the influence on Monday, Jan. 11, according to the Wilton Bulletin.

Wendy Fitzgerald, 65, reportedly took the turn onto Danbury Road too wide, narrowly missing the police car, the Bulletin said. 

Fitzgerald was pulled over and given a breathalyzer test that yielded a blood alcohol content of .1633, more than twice the legal limit, the Wilton Bulletin reported.
