NORWALK, Conn. -- A Bridgeport man was charged with the sexual assault of two minors by Norwalk Police on Friday, officials said.
The Norwalk Special Victims Unit had been investigating Jose Cardenas, 39, since May of this year, stemming from allegations dating back to 2006, police said.
Cardenas was detained and charged with first-degree sexual assault, two counts of fourth-degree sexual assault and two counts of risk of injury to a minor. Bond was set at $500,000 for a court date of Sept. 23, police said.
