Armed Robbery Reported At Norwalk Gas Station

NORWALK, Conn. – A gas station on North Avenue in Norwalk was robbed at gunpoint Thursday night, according to police reports.

The manager of the Mobil station told police that a man entered the store portion of the station just as he was closing up at about 11 p.m. Thursday. The man pointed a black revolver at the manager and took a “small amount of cash,” according to the police report. No injuries were reported, police said.

Norwalk Police searched the area but were unable to find the suspect. A K-9 search took police up France Street to the area near St. Philip’s Church before the trail was lost, police said.

The suspect was described as a black male, 5 feet, 10 inches to 6 feet tall and wearing a gray sweatshirt and dark pants.

Anyone with information on the case should contact the Norwalk Police at 203-854-3000.
