Updated 10:15 p.m.

NORWALK, Conn. — Norwalk police had two people in custody on Lawrence Street after a report of shots fired in South Norwalk early Wednesday evening.

The two people were held shortly after 7 p.m. as Norwalk police set up a crime scene covering a large part of Woodward Avenue and Sheridan Street. Lawrence Street was blocked shortly thereafter. About 15 police cruisers were on the scene. A witness reported hearing about 10 gunshots and thought the suspects might still be in the area. The police arrived quickly, the witness said.

There did not appear to be any victims of the shooting.

A group of five young men was walking down the middle of the street when three went one way and two went the other, a witness said. Then shots rang out, the witness said. "It's crazy." The witness heard one say he was "scared" while he was talking on a cellphone after the incident.

A passerby said, "These kids are out of their minds. Did you hear what she said? They wanted to kill each other."

Officers were looking in crawlspaces under porches of homes on Lawrence Street and searched an unlocked car.

A witness said at least two cars had been struck by bullets.

Police on the scene refused to confirm and details of the incident Wednesday night. Cruisers remained in the area as of 10 p.m.

Check back with the Norwalk Daily Voice for more details.

Tim T:

I find it comical that we still have a few fools in Norwalk that do not see the crime for what it is...EPIDEMIC. The only good thing about this is thats its a very small minority of puppets that attempt to cover up the truth for some strange reason. As we all know most if not all of Norwalk is fed up with the crime and the almost ZERO unsolved violet crime rate of the NPD. Of course we will see a puppet or 2 reply to my post with their usual lies and spin but lets all just take that for what it worth. ZERO

Broad River:

timmy, have been listening to the sergeant pepper's album backwards again?

lwitherspoon:

Broad River:

If it was more elegant, you'd never get the inuendo timmy, so yes simple humor for simple folks, works fo me,..i made spoon laugh, my job is dome here :--)

Tim T:

Like you said "simple"

Tim T:

I see you have a very simple sense of humor..I guess thats all that could be expected...

Tim T:

It has just been brought to our attention that

Are all the same stoooge with different user names.

rerbc:

gee, timmy, I feel left out...a while back you were saying that *I* was iwitherspoon!! LOL

Paige:

Guess again, Timmy-o. I don't know who Broad River is, nor LWitherspoon, but I wouldn't mind getting together with them for a cup of coffee.

Broad River:

Tim T:
It has just been brought to our attention that,..
" our " ? lol timmy

lwitherspoon:

LOL at "it has just been brought to our attention". What are you doing Timmy, playing pretend anchorman now? Nice try but that little bit of official-speak did zero to give your comments any credibility.

This just in... everyone who reads The Daily Voice would like Tim T to stop the childish name-calling, insults, lies, and wild conspiracy theories. Film at eleven!

This just in... everyone who reads The Daily Voice would like

lwitherspoon to stop the paid posts for the administration. Film at eleven!

Oh it's that every facet of all his fractured persona were awake at the time, they all had it shown to them by the their zodiac sign in the sky,

Tim T:

Do any of you post make any sense?? You are really out there...Care to explain

Broad River:

Coffee is my life blood!

timmy does not know me I don't know you or Lwitherspoon, for all I know they live in Westport. timmy it's shameful to invent things about people you don't know or maybe even work with. It just goes to show your desperation. Nancy Chapman has all my personal information, she hasn't met me but I have willingly offered everything you could want to know about a poster on the blog. I don't have anything to hide nor a need to elevate my status in the pecking order. I am who I am and I am happy in my own skin
@ Paige,

The Connecticut State Police are in town, they are most usually as are the ATF and the FBI
You don't bang your drum before you hunt the tiger. You won't see them strutting down Main Street like they are the Texas Rangers of the 1800's.
I run into the one of the State cops very often at the U.P.S. facility on M.L.K. Blvd. I actually know one of the FB.I. agents, he works here in Norwalk as a bar tender, he is out of the Manhattan office. ' Nothing like riding the train to pick up a morsel of information'.

It's naive for people to think there is an absence of State Police, AT.F., F.B.I., or Homeland Security in a town such as ours.

The Police here in town used to allow a certain percentage of prostitutes to ply their trade here, they are easy to bust and Most willing to tell you who just rolled into town and where they hang out and what they are up to. Thugs love to brag, they think they are impressing the women.

Next time you hear somebody in a local bar talking about how somebody should xyz the President, you can think to yourself if this is the bar that agent works,..he's all ears,..and more than willing to listen to your story.

People who are loud here and are accusatory of posters and our elected officials, Police etc., making verbal assaults,( a punishable offense) and rude comments , such as idiot and well we've read all the other derogatory words and remarks. These people are usually attacking from their fears. They fear exactly what they imply others are, it helps them maintain and justify their own status in the hierarchy. The use of CAPS well that's just shouting combined with anger. A tantrum. Models of this type of behavior start early on in life. It could be they have been a victim of verbal abuse, ( you'll never amount to anything you xyz') or it can be things like not being picked for a game by their peers on a grade school playground, even being subservient to a sibling ( mom likes him better ). It`s tough to change, in public it probably doesn't show it's self. Out in the real world, maybe such behavior can't be changed, but it most certainly can be modified. It also can simply be a Napoleon Complex. Anyway the anonymity of the internet is where they feel comfortable. There are types of people that feed on the attention albeit positive or negative. I have been sucked into it myself, feeding their disease. It is a disease, they can be found in the DSM-IV and the ICD-10. I don't say any of this with animosity, it is with a great deal of empathy and true concern.

Tim T:

Coffee is my life blood!
HAHA
After reading your post I think its more than coffee that your life blood

Paige:

Thanks for your comments and insights, Broad.

BTW, did you know that Wendy's is currently having a promotional where you can get one of their iced Roasters for free during this month? I had a Skinny Vanilla Iced Roaster yesterday and it was pretty good. I'm a black coffee, no cream, no sugar person, and I had one of their regular coffees Thursday night. Great roast, not burned, no bitter aftertaste. Be sure to stop by and have one.

It's been years since I've opened a DSM-IV and I no longer even have my print copy. I understand they now have something called DSM-IV-TR, which is a revised fourth edition. You're right about the PPD. Clearly out of touch with reality. Even if he called the State Police and they told him that Norwalk is not their jurisdiction unless they were working in conjunction with the NPD or the Feds which they often do (and why would they admit that to him?) he wouldn't believe them. And if the State Police are here in Norwalk, they probably aren't going to be in uniform, especially if they are doing information gathering.

Now with the West Avenue Shell Gas Station case on the court docket, I'm vaguely concerned our mutual friend will do something really stupid like physically confront an officer and running his mouth off. That won't end well. He's also stepped up his level of attack from merely mimicking to derogatory personal remarks. The next level up could end with him in very deep trouble. He's escalating. I did try to warn him, as you saw.

Well, it'll be interesting to see how it all plays out.

Broad River:

Thanks for the heads-up on Wendy's coffee. I haven't been in one since they closed the salad bar. I like mine hot and black but if iced anything goes as I no longer consider it coffee at that point :-) I should take me dog for a walk, she's 13 but I think she can still take the round trip with not to much difficulty and try a Wendy's cuppa joe. Any one Wendy's better than the other? Need a coup?

State Police were sitting on Rte. 123 and Main last night from 10:30 until at least the time I left at 11:50. lic 108-UTZ. Two NPD patrol cars across from Cumberland Farms on Main around 10:30 also. Oh and a NPD cop on foot at LA Fitness yesterday at 09:30 in the morning, walking row by row of cars.

I think one of the diseases removed from the new list is homosexuality and maybe some types of BDSM.

You're right he is escalating when I guy stops yelling and just sits whistling, while he cleans his gun, that's when it's to to duck.

Yeah I've read where you have asked him to tone it down > I have tried to suggest that life is so much more enjoyable with a little counseling and maybe a med.

So very often he goes off like a devil in the middle of a church, in my opinion, because he only reads what he wants to, or his own demons won't allow some of it to register, they are terrific filters at that and he gets distracted when it becomes a lengthily read not to mention the fact I truly believe he has a reading comprehension deficit. Other than that he enjoys the attention in his delusional world. I hope he won't get worse for his own sake. So much of what he blurts out, really is considered verbal assault and it is a punishable offense.

Enjoy your day.
p.s. The owner of the Main & Broad Shell was rubbed out about a dozen years ago also.

Paige:

I vaguely remember hearing about the Main and Broad murder. Did they ever get the guy? I was traveling a lot during that time.

Tim T:

No they have a ZERO unsolved violent crime rate

Broad River:

I'm not sure. His name was Tony Esposito. He was on a cash only basis with Shell, near the end. I think he had huge gambling debts. Crushed to death by his automated car wash trolley. He wasn't found for over an hour, by the other attendant working that day.

Tim T:

You are wrong once again as Bridgeport, New Haven and Hartford all have the State PD in uniform in state police cars, because of the out of control crime in those cities just like the out of control crime in Norwalk.

Paige:

That's really interesting, Tim-o. You just keep on truckin'.

I saw Chief Gaudett last week and we were talking about police matters. Nothing was said about the State Police taking over Bridgeport at all. Troop G is now based in Bridgeport, so I often see the State Trooper cars going to and from I-95, and 25/8.

Saw Mayor DeStefano a few months ago, and I'm sure he would have mentioned it if the State Police had "taken over".

Have a nice day, y' hear.

Tim T:

Keep making things up,,Nice try at spin but you failed yet again..I find it funny that you seem to think my posts are so useless but you read and reply to each and everyone of them..What does this say about you...HUMMMM..
What " taken over" where did you read that ???Oh thats right you are attempting to put words in my mouth once again...
Seek help with your obsession of my posts..It just proves with you reading and replying to each and everyone of them that you know in fact I am correct and you cant handle the truth.

Broad River:

The State cops have a smokin black and red Mustang!

Paige:

Do they??? Ah, man. Some people get all the breaks. Is it a classic or one of the later models?

Tim T:

Yeah its a 1965...wake up

Broad River:

It's a late model stang, likes to run the 3rd lane of I-95, not fast mind you, just waiting for one of those small rice burner boxy cars with the loud tuned muffler to come up and challenge it. Once they get past it and begin to weave through traffic and above the States legal maximum (except where posted) limit of 70mph. on come the lights in the grill and the head lights flash in unison and ahhhh another menace gets pulled over, so sweet. I think they have a Hummer also or at least one I spotted made me think it was a State vehicle, for some reason.

Paige:

Hey, Broad -

We're upsetting the class clown with our talk about cars (See below). Oddly enough, didn't this whole issue start with cars being shot up?

Also, did you notice that he told me to stop replying to his posts, but he interjects himself into our conversation? Interesting, no?

Shall we rattle his cage some more and talk about coffee? BTW, I agree with you that when they start adding ice and flavoring, it's no longer coffee. But it is kind of fun once in a while. I think of it as a dessert.

Broad River:

@ Paige,
Oh we have to stay on topic? I didn't realize that with all the timmisms scattered about. Yet this is so refreshing, let's just think of it as a sidebar.

Yes interjections, except timmy-0 ( I'm using the ' 0 ' zero now, it seems so fitting doesn't it ? ) doesn't seem to notice, the posts are time stamped
Coffee is coffee and don't mess with mine at breakfast ! LOL I think the best of desert coffee's sans a true restaurant are from sbux.. I rarely buy coffee on the fly, Duchess used to have one of my better choices but something has changed within that chain.
So, what else would you care to talk discuss? timmy-0, talk amongst yourselves or is that your-self's

Paige:

@Broad

Personally, I like Dunkin' Donuts myself when I do buy coffee out. Starbucks uses a very dark roast and it leaves a bitter aftertaste, which is why they add all the sugar and milk and flavoring.

McDonald's fluctuates. Sometimes the coffee is good, but there have been too many times when I've had their coffee and it's been burned. It's a shame, too, since they advertised that they used Green Mountain, which is a pretty reliable brand.

I was pleasantly surprised with Wendy's coffee. I haven't had coffee at Duchess's except when we had that major power failure last year. The Duchess over on Main Street had power (thank you, God!) and we had a meal there. I don't remember it being anything special other than the fact that it was warm. But I wasn't paying particular attention to that either. I'll have to try their coffee out again soon.

Paige:

Well, now. That gives me hope. I've seen a number of rice burners between here and Bridgeport, usually they are also playing their music nice and loud so everyone for a 1/4 mile around can "enjoy" it also. I'll keep an eye out for them.

Broad River:

@ Paige,
Catch up with you in another story perhaps, this thread is to long to follow now with some 140 posts. It's been a refresghing delight to have discussed various issues and enjoy a little banter with you and a few others here. namaste.

Broad River:

@ Paige, yes it is about 1/4 mile ! Sometimes I'm thankful for the racket, because changing lanes, so often they don't appear in my side-view mirrors, so it's good to have the noise. Are they overcompensating much, with large mufflers and big speakers ? :-)

Speaking of guns (that's on topic I think lmao ) Have you noticed the guns on that Police Officer in the center of Nancy's photo, no donut jockey there !

Tim T:

What does car talk have to do with a story that is about the out of control Norwalk crime epidemic..Your conversation with your buddy "Broad Swamp" would be more suited for social media such as Facebook.

Broad River:

show me something that has to do with the story in any of your ranting hysteria
,..stooges, paid posts out-of-control crime rate EPIDEMIC puppets cover up ZERO unsolved violet crime rate usual lies and spin Are all the same stoooge with different user names.Film at eleven! You are wrong once again in state police cars Keep making things up,,Nice try at spin but you failed yet again Yeah its a 1965...wake up the out of control Norwalk crime epidemic Go outside and get some air many that have gone untreated...The NPD still has it 100 percent unsolved violent crime record. No it's true you can post what ever you like but it doesn't change the facts..$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ covered up.. killings and stabbings ,THE NPD IS STILL A COMPLETE AND TOTAL FAILURE anther lawsuit filed against the NPD...Nice try at spin but you failed ..How does the stooge feel now? NOW DOES THE PAID STOOOGE FEEL LIKE A FOOL YET AGAIN you didn't think we knew did you stooge. HOW much did the mayor pay you for todays posts/ can you tell me what the stooge spooner had for lunch yesterday as you have your nose so far up his rear you must know,,while the vehicle's owner was inside the church. WOW Not even safe going to church in Norwalk these days STABBING AFTER STABBING AND KILLING AFTER KILLING crime stats are worthless as the numbers are what the local department reports..So if the local department is not accurate or honest you can use them as toilet paper As I an typing just heard on the police scanner 1037 pm 8-8 another stabbing,,,Did not get the address...The funny thing is some morons and stooges still think all is just fine and that the NPD are not failures...FUNNY. TROLL ALERT . NPD still has the perfect record of ZERO VIOLENT CRIMES SOLVED, No need to correct it as it was a stabbing as per the scanner..Do you have some inside information? I thought not ...You can make things up if you like but that doesn't change the FACT that the scanner stated it WAS a STABBING victim..END OF STORY NO i was correct as usual... you say you were there but I never mentioned once where there was. I never gave an address of the stabbing

Tarisita:

Holy cow - I'm laughing so hard that I'm literally in tears !!!!!
Thanks, BR !! :)

Broad River:

:-))

Broad River:

Key words and phrases associated with the story,..
NORWALK , POLICE , SHOTS FIRED , TWO PEOPLE HELD , 15 POLICE CRUISERS , ABOUT 10 GUNSHOTS , THERE DID NOT APPEAR TO BE ANY VICTIMS , A WITNESS SAID AT LEAST TWO CARS HAD BEEN STRUCK BY BULLETS.
if it's a swamp it's you because you have failed to seek proper remedy. by the way timmy-0 you drink that water. blogs are social media

Tim T:

You type and type but say nothing

Broad River:

next time I'll use smaller words, sorry i forgot

Tim T:

Broad Swamp

No need to use smaller words as you would still say nothing...Go outside and get some air as clearly you are lacking.

Broad River:

Is that where you have been all day, clued to a CRT? they have WiFi practically everywherei now timmy-o , trash that 386 and try not to use broadbrush assumptions about others. Really you just don't have a clue. Besure to vote in the Primary's.

Tim T:

I would suggest you seek help with your issues as you clearly seem to have many that have gone untreated.

lwitherspoon:

That's the same response you always give when you don't like a comment but can't dispute it. It's getting old.

Tim T:

Thats the only comment you can give for an insane post...

Broad River:

Two people were arrested during the investigation for trespassing on Lawrence Street. Police received a complaint from a resident who said there were two men in her yard she did not know. Police said officers questioned them, and one, a 24-year-old Bridgeport man said that was visiting a friend there. Police said he kept changing his story and had no business being there.

The man and his companion, a 17-year-old youthful offender from Norwalk, were both arrested and charged with simple trespassing, an infraction

Tim T:

As usual the violent crime was not solved...Trespassing now thats funny..The NPD still has it 100 percent unsolved violent crime record.

Broad River:

.Connecticut does not have a Stand Your Ground Law, so yes Trespassing is a serious issue and you have to call the cops if you need help...resident who said there were two men in her yard she did not know,..I'd call as well. what would you do timmy-o blow them away?

Tim T:

Broad Swamp

Wrong again ..Its not even a crime its an infraction...Much like passing a stop sign.
