Officers arrived on the scene shortly before 8 p.m. Saturday to find an 18-year-old victim who had been shot in the leg, according to police reports. EMS arrived and transported the victim to Norwalk Hospital, where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The victim told police that he and a group of friends were outside a residence on Suncrest Road when somebody fired shots at them from across the street. The shooter was described as a light-skinned black male, 5 feet, 10 inches in height and wearing dark clothing, police said.
Officers canvassed the area but were unable to locate the suspect. The Detective Bureau is investigating the incident, and anybody with information is asked to contact the police.
