13 Car Break-Ins Reported Overnight In Norwalk

NORWALK, Conn. -- Norwalk Police are asking the public for help in locating those responsible for 13 car burglaries overnight Monday, Nov. 2, in Norwalk.

According to police, the thieves stole wallets, cash and loose change from inside the vehicles. The burglaries happened near Friendly Road, Fullin Court, Cider Lane and Saddle Road, police said.

Anyone who may have noticed any suspicious activity or with information should contact detectives at 203-854-3111.

Meanwhile, police advise residents to take the following precautions against car burglaries.

  • Fully close windows and lock doors.
  • Remove all valuables from your car or lock them in the trunk.
  • Park in well-lit areas or in a secure garage. 
  • Park where it is easily and frequently seen, providing natural surveillance.
  • Do not rely on tinted windows to conceal your valuables in your car. 
  • Use a car alarm to alert your or other persons nearby. 
  • Be alert in your neighborhood and report any suspicious persons or activity. 
  • If you find your car has been broken into, do not touch anything in, on, or around your car.
