It was truly an honor for the Norwalk Education Foundation to be chosen by Larry Cafero and family as the non-profit beneficiary of his testimonial dinner Jan. 29.
We extend our gratitude to all who attended, making the evening memorable for Larry while providing much needed funds for education in Norwalk.
To all who know Larry, his choice makes perfect sense. Education always has been an interest and a passion. He served on the Norwalk Board of Education for six years and as board chair for several terms. He is the expulsion officer for Norwalk Public Schools, sitting in on student hearings and working for a resolution to help each student move forward in a productive manner.
The Norwalk Education Foundation shares Larry’s dedication to the children of Norwalk. NEF works to address gaps in education by identifying strategic initiatives with Norwalk Public Schools and providing supplemental programming that will strengthen outcomes for all students.
NEF ?is working with Larry to ?determine the most strategic use of these funds and to seek matching grants and funds to maximize the benefits to Norwalk's youth.
The NEF mission is to support excellence and innovation in Norwalk Public Schools. With support from the community and local leaders, like Larry Cafero, we will gain greater momentum in making Norwalk the best place for students to thrive.
