William S. Thomas Sr., 72, Native Of Norwalk, Vietnam War Veteran

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. - William (Bill) S. Thomas Sr. of Bridgeport died Wednesday, Sept. 24. He was 72.

Thomas was born and raised in Norwalk, to William and Julia Mandy Thomas. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, and was stationed in Germany. He worked as a printer for many years and later worked in security at St. Vincent's Medical Center until retirement.

Thomas is survived by his wife, Carol; sister, Susan Thomas of Norwalk; son, William S. Thomas Jr. and his partner, Bo of Glendale, Clif.; daughter, Kellie DeLoma (Jeff) of Milford; three grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Jean Nelson (Arnold) and Pauline Bayley; brothers-in-law, James Mulligan (Maureen), Richard Balog, Jerry Lukowski and John Tomatore; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; sisters-in-law, Lorraine Balog, Betty Lukowski and Ruth Tomatore; and brother-in-law, Ronald Bayley.

Funeral services will be held Monday, Sept. 29 at 11 a.m. directly at St. Andrew's Church, 395 Anton St., Bridgeport.
