NORWALK, Conn. – William John Domonkos, 87, of Norwalk, died Friday, Aug. 7.
He was born Jan. 30, 1928, in Norwalk. He was married to Marion (Lengyel) Domonkos from Sept. 1957 until her death in Dec. 2003.
He spent his early career at the Hat Corporation of America, where he was a colorist, and then worked for Hatch and Bailey at the service counter until his retirement. He was a talented woodworker and loved watching baseball, golf and working around his home.
He is survived by his sisters Elizabeth Brown, Jolana Kish and Veronica Selwitz, as well as several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Stephen and Magdolna (Sampias) Domonkos, as well as three sisters and two brothers.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Aug. 12 at 10 a.m. at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk. Burial will follow immediately at Riverside Cemetery.
