NORWALK, Conn. – Wayne A. Bennett, 74, husband of Louise A. Palumbo Bennett, died Friday, June 26.
Born April 18, 1941 in Akron, Ohio, he was son of the late Wayne Bennett and Edna Allen Bennett Ovellette. He moved to Norwalk as a child and worked for SNET as a supervisor for many years. After retirement, he started his company Low Voltage Systems and also restored classic cars. He was very proud of his American Indian Heritage.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Louise Bennett (Iacono); a granddaughter and grandson; son-in-law Ludvico Iacono Sr.; and three brothers and two sisters-in-law, all of Norwalk.
He was predeceased by his sister-in-law.
Friends may call Tuesday, June 30 from 5-8 p.m. at Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Ave., Norwalk. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday, July 1 at 10 a.m. in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 203 East Ave., Norwalk. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery, Richards Avenue, Norwalk.
