Virginia Scott Stradford, 85, Of Norwalk, Retired Norden Employee

NORWALK, Conn. - Virginia Scott Stradford of Norwalk died Oct. 23. She was 85.

Stradford was born July 30, 1928, in Norwalk, daughter of Maurice Podd and Annie Podd Boyer. She graduated from Norwalk High School in 1946. She was employed as a home health aide and later employed at Norden from which she retired. She was a member of the Norwalk Senior Center and the Bethel A.M.E. Church.

Stradford is survived by her daughters, Virginia Benton, Mary Jane Scott, Adria Scott and Rosalee Reynolds; siblings, Hortense Whitney, Marguerite Fuller, Adrienne Landrum and Jean Smith; a host of grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews; and friends. She was predeceased by her parents.

Calling hours are Friday, Nov. 1 at Bethel A.M.E. Church, 19 Academy St., Norwalk from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 12 p.m. Interment to follow at Riverside Cemetery, Norwalk.
