Vincent Boccanfuso, 80, Of Norwalk, Bricklayer And Stone Mason

NORWALK, Conn. - Vincent Boccanfuso of Norwalk died Friday, June 7. He was 80.

Boccanfuso was born in Ischia, Italy, son of Almerico and Annunziata (Pesce) Boccanfuso, he worked as a bricklayer and stone mason. He came to Norwalk in 1956, married and raised his family. In 1982, after retiring, he and his wife returned to Ischia. Each year they returned to Norwalk to spend the holidays with their family.

Boccanfuso is survived by his wife, Josephine (Cuomo) Boccanfuso; his children, Nancy Surace (Joe), Vinnie Boccanfuso (Debi), all of Norwalk, and Jennifer Boccanfuso of Ischia, Italy; seven grandchildren; sister, Cecilia; brothers, Salvatore, Franco and Vittorio all of Italy and George Boccanfuso of Norwalk; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; and brothers, Antonio and Mario.

Calling hours are Tuesday, June 11 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 p.m. Wednesday, June 12 at St. Jerome Church, with burial to follow at St. John Cemetery, Norwalk.
