NORWALK, Conn. - Vasilios “Billy” Petrides of Norwalk died Thursday, Jan. 30. He was 57.
Petrides was born Nov. 9, 1956, in Greece, son of Spiros and Kasiani Keskilidis Petrides. He worked as a mason for Union Local #1 and served as a member of the National Guard.
In addition to his parents, Petrides is survived by his wife, Harriet; sons, Timothy Petrides and Matthew Petrides (Allison); daughter, Ashley Petrides; two granddaughters; sister, Alexandra Nikiforos (Dimetrios); and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Johnny Petrides.
Calling hours are Wednesday, Feb. 5, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Collins Funeral Home, Norwalk. Services will be private.
Contributions in Petrides’ name may be made to: Norwalk High School Wrestling, 55 County St, Norwalk, CT 06851. Funds will be allocated between the Neil Godleski Memorial Scholarship Fund and Norwalk High School Wrestling.
