Susan H. Morris, 84, Former Longtime Rowayton Resident

DARIEN, Conn. - Susan H. Morris, of Darien, and a former longtime resident of Bell Island, Rowayton, died May 1. She was 84.

Morris was born July 28, 1928, and was a native of Fairfield. She graduated from Roger Ludlowe High School and Stanford University. She began her career as an executive assistant with the advertising firm BBDO in New York City. After moving to Bell Island in 1963, she worked for many years at Derektor Shipyards in Mamaroneck, N.Y., and locally at Ely Boat Works.

Morris is survived by her identical twin sister, Cynthia "Impy" McGloon of New London, N.H.; brother, G. E. "Bunch" Hoyt, Jr. of Cambridge, N.Y.; and nieces, nephews and their children. She was predeceased by her husband, Howard Morris.

A celebration of Morris's life will be held Sunday, May 19 at 3:30 p.m. at Atria Darien, 50 Ledge Road.
