NORWALK, Conn. – Steve Vasilas of Norwalk died Aug. 30 at Norwalk Hospital. He was 77.
Born Nov. 18, 1934, in Naxos, Greece, he was the son of Stefanos and Evthokia Vasilas. He worked as a furniture builder and was an avid sports fan and gardener.
Vasilas is survived by a sister, Irene Athanasoulis; a sister, Koula, of Greece; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Collins Funeral Home in Norwalk. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Norwalk. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery in Norwalk.
