Ruth Craig, 97, Formerly Of Norwalk, Worked For The American Cancer Society

NORWALK, Conn. - Ruth Craig, formerly of Norwalk, died Friday, Nov. 14. She was 97.

Craig was born July 10, 1917, to Thomas E. and Anna Corcoran Burke. She was a retired secretary and treasurer for the American Cancer Society in Norwalk.

Craig is survived by her daughter, Lucinda Buckley (Ronald) of Norwalk; sons, Charles J. Kardos (Jacqueline) of Naples Fla., and John Wayne Kardos (Kathy) of Citrus Springs Fla.; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents; and husband, Charles J. Kardos, Jr.

Calling hours are Friday, Nov. 21 from 4 to 8 p.m. in Norwalk's Hoyt Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 5 East Wall Street. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, Nov. 22 at 10 a.m. directly in St. Matthew's Church, 216 Scribner Ave., Norwalk. Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Norwalk.
