NORWALK, Conn. – Russell N. King, 97, of South Norwalk, husband of the late Lillian Stevens, died Thursday, April 2, at Norwalk Hospital.
Born Oct. 5, 1917, in Orange, N.J., he was the son of the late Russell E. and Emma Noel King. King was a resident of South Norwalk for 70 years. He was a graduate of the Notre Dame, Class of 1940, with a degree in mechanical engineering. He went on to work for Nash Engineering for almost 50 years. He also kept a sailboat, which he built himself, on the 5-Mile River for 50 years.
He is survived by his son, Russell N. King Jr. and his wife, Faith, of Norwalk; a daughter, Marsha Boiros and her husband, George, of Cape Cod, Mass.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, King was predeceased by a brother. At his request, all services were private.
