WILTON, Conn. - Russell D. Fairchild of Wilton died Friday, Dec. 13. He was 71.
Fairchild was born in Norwalk; son of Lester Ellison and Rosalie (Russell) Fairchild. He was a retired Norwalk fire captain who served the city for 25 years.
Fairchild is survived by his wife, Mary (Ryan) Fairchild; sons, John (Linda), Douglas (Michelle), Daniel (Jaci) and Michael Fairchild; four grandchildren; sister, Carol Smith of Montana; and two nephews. He was predeceased by his parents.
Calling hours are Tuesday, Dec. 17, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk. Other services will be held privately.
