Rose Ritzo, 85, Lifelong Norwalk Resident, Owned Flax Hill Grocery

NORWALK, Conn. - Rose Ritzo of Norwalk died Friday, July 12. She was 85.

Ritzo was born on April 9, 1928, in Norwalk, daughter of William A. and Helen Varga Ritzo and has lived locally all of her life. She was a graduate of Norwalk High School, class of 1945 and was the former owner of Flax Hill Grocery. She was a member of the St. Ladislaus Church Choir and The Norwalk Senior Center.

Ritzo is survived by her sister, Helen Sandor of Norwalk; nieces and nephews; six grandnieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; and sister, Jolanda Kovarik.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, July 15 at St. Ladislaus Church, 25 Cliff St., Norwalk, with burial to follow at St. John Cemetery.

Donations in Ritzo’s name may be made to St. Ladislaus Church.
