WESTPORT, Conn. - Rose J. (Ancona) Eletto, formerly of Norwalk and a resident of Westport for 50 years, died Oct. 9. She was 89.
Eletto was born May 17, 1924, in Danbury. to Josephine and Gaitano Ancona. She was a member of the U.S. Nursing Corp where she served during World War II. She later graduated from the Bridgeport Hospital School of Nursing program. She was employed by Norwalk Hospital where she worked in the Special Care Neonatal Unit for many years prior to her retirement.
Eletto is survived by her daughters, JoAnn Iannacone (Salvatore), Marie Russo (Dennis) and Jean Treglia (Michael) all of Fairfield; five grandchildren; brothers, Thomas Ancona of Wilton and Charles Ancona of Stuart, Fla.; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Michael P. Eletto; and sisters, Phyllis DeStefano and Antoinette Nardello.
Calling hours are Saturday, Oct. 12 from 9 to 11 a.m. at Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Ave., Norwalk followed immediately with a prayer service. Interment will be at St. Johns Cemetery Norwalk.
