Rose Festa Izzo, 83, Of Norwalk

NORWALK, Conn. -- Rose Festa Izzo, a resident of Norwalk, died Thursday, Jan. 28. She was 83.

Izzo had been a secretary with the former Merchants Bank. She was an active member of St. Thomas the Apostle Parish. She volunteered at the church’s Second Chance Thrift Shop and was a member of the parish choir. She also sang in St. Joseph’s choir before joining St. Thomas Parish.

She is survived by a daughter; Vanessa Jacques; two sisters, Annette Festa and Catherine Verda and Catherine’s husband, James; a granddaughter, Reagan; and many family members and friends.

She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Izzo.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, Feb. 1, at 10 a.m. in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 203 East Ave. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery.

Friends may call Sunday, Jan. 31, at Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Ave., from 3-6 p.m.
