Ronald Wilson Bealer, 66, Professor Of Finance, Norwalk Community College

STAMFORD, Conn. - Ronald Wilson Bealer of Stamford died Feb. 13. He was 66.

Bealer was born Oct. 30, 1947, in Clearfield, Pa. After moving to Connecticut in 1949, he grew up in Riverside, and graduated from Greenwich High School in 1965. He then went to Penn State University and was a member of the Alpha Chi Rho fraternity. Upon graduating, he attended and received his M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School in 1972.

He began his professional career in finance with the Putnam Trust Company. He subsequently worked for 15 years with Bankers Trust Company in international banking and credit policy, leaving Bankers Trust as group vice president. He then worked with Chrysler Capital as national marketing manager for corporate finance. He became a professor of Finance at Norwalk Community College in 1994, where he continued to teach for 20 years. He was the past chair of the NCC Business Department, dean of administration, and director and finance committee member.

Bealer is survived by his daughters, Roni Widmer (Mike) of Fairfield and Meagan Bealer of Old Greenwich; son, Jason Bealer of Stamford; two grandchildren; mother, Jean Zaccardo of St. Petersburg, Fla.

Calling hours are Thursday, Feb. 20 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, in the Fairfield Center.
