NORWALK, Conn. - Roger Louis Guimond of Norwalk died Friday, April 11. He was 45.

Guimond was born Sept. 4, 1968, in Norwalk, and was the son of Virginia Marie (Ruggieri) and J. Louis Guimond of Norwalk.

He was the lead singer for regionally and internationally known bands Flowerland, Stylie, Lord Have Mercy, Larva and Belly Dancer. He played in notable clubs CBGB's, China Club, Toads Place and the Mohegan Sun. Roger was a founding member of Bindu Kirtan Band at the Westport YMCA. He recently released a CD, "Jolly Roger's Proclamation MMXIII."

Guimond is survived by his parents; fiancée, Kerry K. Robinson of New York City and New Haven; brothers, Gregory Guimond (Mary Elizabeth Murray) of Chatham, N.J., and Robbie Guimond (Taryn Bolotin) of Westport; nephews and nieces; and friend, Billy Bateman of Norwalk.

Calling hours are Tuesday, April 15, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Magner Funeral Home , 12 Mott Ave. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 16, at St. Joseph Church, 85 S. Main St., South Norwalk, with burial to follow at St. John Cemetery.
