NORWALK, Conn. -- Norwalk native Robert Richard Froleiks died in Yarmouth Port, Mass., on Wednesday, Nov. 5. He was 79.
Froleiks was born on Oct. 28, 1935 to Xavier R. Froleiks and Charlotte (Prunyi) Froleiks.
After graduating from the University of Connecticut School of Pharmacy, Froleiks married Nancy (Beaupre) Froleiks and practiced pharmacy at several locations, including his own business, which remained open until 1980.
Froleiks retired to the Cape Cod area, where he served on the executive board of the Retired Men’s Club of Cape Cod and held numerous positions at the First Congregational Church in Yarmouth, including a member of the Board of Christian Education, a deacon, church clerk and chairman of the music committee.
Froleiks is survived by his son, Keith R. Froleiks and his wife Lynn of Bow, N.H.; a daughter, Kim (Froleiks) Runyan and her husband John of Medford, Mass.; and three grandchildren Kevin, Brenna and Greggory Froleiks.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Nov. 22 at noon at the First Congregational Church of Yarmouth.
