Botticelli worked as an engineer at United Technologies in Norwalk for many years prior to his retirement in 1989. He was a member of the Norwalk Exchange Club. He also enjoyed painting, especially with watercolors.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Connie Botticelli, of Auburn; a daughter, Lauren L. (Kevin J. Burton) Botticelli, of Owasco, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews.
Botticelli was predeceased by his parents, Michael and Maria Rapesta Botticelli; and a brother, Charles.
A Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Alphonsus Church in Auburn. Farrell's Funeral Service in Auburn is handling arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Finger Lakes SPCA of CNY, 41 York St., Auburn, NY 13021.
