NORWALK, Conn. – Robert A. Botticelli, a former Norwalk resident, died Sunday, Jan. 20, at his home in Auburn, N.Y., following a prolonged illness. He was 82.
Botticelli worked as an engineer at United Technologies in Norwalk for many years prior to his retirement in 1989. He was a member of the Norwalk Exchange Club. He also enjoyed painting, especially with watercolors.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Connie Botticelli, of Auburn; a daughter, Lauren L. (Kevin J. Burton) Botticelli, of Owasco, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews.
Botticelli was predeceased by his parents, Michael and Maria Rapesta Botticelli; and a brother, Charles.
A Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Alphonsus Church in Auburn. Farrell's Funeral Service in Auburn is handling arrangements.
