NORWALK, Conn. – Reginald Andrew Cunningham, of Norwalk, husband of Josephine (Lodato) Cunningham for more than 58 years, died Sunday, Jan. 17 at the Waveny Care Center. He was 82.
Born in Stamford, the only son of the late Andrew Hay and Jeannie (Milloy) Cunningham, he served in the U.S. Army in Korea, and worked for a time as a printer, eventually retiring as a manager from United House Wrecking. He was a very active member of St. Philip's Church, where he also served as an usher and was involved with the Scottish Games. He cherished time spent with family and loved attending his grandchildren's sporting events and activities.
He is survived by his wife Josephine; children Andy (Adrienne) Cunningham , Rich (Barbara) Cunningham, Debbie ( Bryan) Roddy, and Brian (Theresa) Cunningham; 13 grandchildren; and numerous in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews.
His family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk. A Mass of Christian burial will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Philip Church, Norwalk. Burial with military honors will follow at St. John Cemetery in Norwalk.
