Caruso was born in Yonkers, N.Y., daughter of Mario and Camilla Orlando Magini. She graduated from State University of New York, New Paltz with a Masters Degree in Education and Special Education. She retired from North Rockland Central School District after many years as a teacher specializing in reading. She was a member of the Norwalk Seniors Center and the New York State retired Teachers Association.
Caruso is survived by her husband, John Caruso; sons, John Caruso (Colleen) of New Fairfield and Thomas Caruso (Robin) of Ridgefield; six grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday, June 3 at 11 a.m. directly at St. Paul R.C. Church, 82 Lake Road, Congers, N.Y. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, N.Y.
