Patricia A. Ayles, 69, Worked For Perkin Elmer

GUILFORD, Conn. - Patricia A. (Prescott) Ayles of Guilford died Tuesday, June 4. She was 69.

Ayles was born in Bridgeport, daughter of John and Catherine (Waterbury) Prescott. She was raised in Fairfield, and was a graduate of Roger Ludlowe High School. She was an administrative assistant for many years, including at Perkin Elmer in Norwalk and Kenyon-Marine in Guilford. For several years, she was the owner of Lisa Ann's Card & Gift Shoppe in North Branford. She worked for the Town of Guilford Park & Recreation Department and with the Guilford Senior Program.

Ayles is survived by her husband, Frank H. Ayles; daughter, Lisa A. Bailey (William) of Branford; son, F. Michael Ayles, and Beth Hollfelder, of Guilford; sister, Joan (Prescott) McGoldrick of Fairfield; five grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her parents; and brother, John James Prescott.

Calling hours are Tuesday, June 11 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Guilford Funeral Home, 115 Church St., Guilford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., at St. Mary Church, 731 Main St, Branford with burial afterward at St. Agnes Cemetery in Branford.
