STAMFORD/NORWALK, Conn. - Orabell Smith Jenkins of Stamford and Norwalk died Monday, Dec. 8. She was 75.
Jenkins was born Sept. 13, 1939, in Fayetteville, N.C., to Gabriel Smith and Marie Spearman Snell. She was a longtime resident of Stamford and Norwalk. She received an associate's degree from the Connecticut School of Banking and was a sales associate with Walmart for a number of years.
Jenkins is survived by her sons, George Beverly and James Jenkins; sister, Marie Owens; brothers, Robert Snell and Joseph Snell; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents; and husband, James Jenkins.
Calling hours are Friday, Dec. 12, from 9 to 11 a.m. followed by a service of celebration at 11 a.m. at Faith Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church, 29 Grove St., Stamford, with the Rev. Tommie Jackson officiating. Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery.
