NORWALK, Conn. -- Nikolaos Simoulidis, a former Norwalk resident, died on Tuesday, Dec, 30 at Norwalk Hospital. He was 90.
Simoulidis was born in the Crimea, then part of the Soviet Union, on Oct. 17, 1924 to Haralambos & Efrosyni Simoulidis. He relocated to Agios Loucas, Greece before settling in Norwalk in 1965.
Simoulidis was a veteran of World War II and the Greek Civil War.
He is survived by his wife, Despina, sister, Sofia Pozoukidis of Agios Loucas, Greece, two children, six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Services will be held on Friday, Jan. 2, at 10 a.m. in St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 238 West Rocks Road, Norwalk.
Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, 81 Riverside Avenue, Norwalk. Family & friends may pay their respects from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the church. Collins Funeral Homes, 92 East Avenue, Norwalk are in care of the arrangements.
