Nicholas Zatorsky, 95, Former Longtime Greenwich Resident

PORT St. LUCIE, Fla. - Nicholas Zatorsky died at the age of 95.

Zatorsky attended Greenwich schools. A longtime Greenwich resident, he served in the United States Navy during World War II. He co-founded Putnam Plumbing and Heating 50 years ago, which is still flourishing today. He was a member and past president of the Greenwich Lions Club and worked to raise money for their contributions to eye research. He was a 4th degree Knight of Columbus and a communicant of St. Bernadette Parish, Port St. Lucie.

Zatorsky is survived by his wife, Marillyn Tiernan Zatorsky; sons, Nicholas and John Zatorsky; daughters, Barbara Lopez, Gail Nielsen and Lyn Marchellos; step-children, Lynn Young, Mark Sullivan and Sheila Sullivan; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife, Marion Kidney Zatorsky.

A memorial mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 1 at Saint Mary's Church on Greenwich Avenue. A burial service will follow immediately at St. Mary's cemetery on North Street.
