Michael Trehubenko Jr., 86, Of Norwalk, World War II Navy Veteran

NORWALK, Conn. - Michael Trehubenko Jr. of Norwalk died Oct. 23. He was 86.

Trehubenko was born March 6, 1927, in Stamford, son of Michael Trehubenko Sr. and Reshall Honcharyk. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Navy. He was a professional baker and owned the Darien Bake Shop and Delite Bakery in Stamford.

Trehubenko is survived by his wife, Ninfa; daughters, Jeannie Gelineau (Raymond) of Indiantown, Fla., and Barbara Costanzo (Augustine) of Arlington, Texas; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; two sisters; and two brothers.

Calling hours are Wednesday, Oct. 30, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 5 E. Wall St., Norwalk. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at noon at St. Jerome Parish, 23 Half Mile Road, Norwalk.
