NORWALK, Conn. - Michael F. Leo, Jr. of Norwalk died Oct. 18. He was 54.
Leo was born Jan. 8, 1959, in Greenwich, son of Marie Lynn (Pitasi) Leo and Michael F. Leo, Sr. He worked for Burndy Corp, Perkin Elmer, Nash Engineering and most recently as account manager for Clark Tower. He was a life-long sports enthusiast who played softball (City Champs Partners '86), bowled, was a Pop Warner referee and A.S.A. umpire. In addition, he supported many youth athletic programs in Norwalk, CT over a 32 year period.
Leo is survived by his parents; sons, Michael Patrick Leo of Norwalk and Adam Edward Leo of Vero Beach, Fla.; sister, Michelle Leo Forlenza (Robert); a niece and nephew; many aunts, uncles; cousins; and friends.
Calling hours are Thursday, Oct. 24 from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home, 5 East Wall St. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25 at St. Jerome Parish, 23 Half Mile Road, Norwalk. Interment will be private.
