NORWALK, Conn. – Mary “Zizi Matt” Scapeccia, of Norwalk, died Monday, March 16, at Norwalk Hospital. She was 92.
Born in Norwalk, she was the daughter of Ulderico and Marianna (D’Avanzo) Scapeccia. Scapeccia enjoyed caring for others, vacationing at the beach and gathering with her friends. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, aunt and friend to many.
She is survived by three sisters; a granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Louis Dombroski, and two brothers.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 19, at St. Mary Church, 669 West Ave., Norwalk, with burial to follow at Riverside Cemetery. Her family will receive friends Wednesday, March 18, from 4-8 p.m. at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk.
