Mary Rose Sizensky, 99, Of Norwalk

NORWALK, Conn. – Mary Rose Sizensky, 99, lifelong resident of Norwalk, died Friday, June 19 at St. Joseph’s Center, Trumbull, Connecticut.

Born in Norwalk, the daughter of the late Stephen and Eva (Vajda) Markus, she was the wife of the late Frank A. Sizensky. In her youth, she worked in the family laundry business, The Hat Corporation and Sperry-Rand, before turning her energies to raising her family. She was a patriot, a devout Catholic and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is survived by her children Eric Sizensky (Rondi) of Trumbull; John Sizensky of Norwalk; and Marna Lombardo (Frank) of Fairfield; daughters-in-law Eva Sizensky, Deridre Sizensky and Rebecca White; nine grandchildren; a step-grandchild; five great-grandchildren; an anticipated great-great grandchild; and three nieces.

She was predeceased by two sons, Frank and William; daughter-in-law Donna Sizensky; and two brothers and a sister.

Her family will receive friends Saturday, June 27 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk. Prayer services will begin at 10:30 a.m., with burial to follow at St. John Cemetery, Norwalk.
