Mary Nichols McBride, 93, Longtime Norwalk Resident, Worked For The FBI

NORWALK, Conn. - Mary Nichols McBride, a resident of Wilson Point in Norwalk since 1960, died Saturday, Sept. 28. She was 93.

McBride was born May 5, 1920, in New Haven, to Thomas and Anne Nichols. During high school and college, she was on the staff of the New Haven Public Library. She worked for the F.B.I. in New Haven and Washington, DC from 1942 to 1948. She was also a member of the F.B.I. Former Agents Society and a parishioner of St. John R.C. Church in Darien.

McBride is survived by her son, Charles F. McBride (Judith); daughters, Theresa McBride Levy (Christopher) and Eileen McBride Margherio (John); and four grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Francis X. McBride; daughter, Mary McBride Konrad; and sister, Catherine Nichols MacDonald.

Calling hours are Thursday, Oct 3 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien. A Mass Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 4 at St. John R.C. Church, 1986 Post Road. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery in Norwalk.
