NORWALK, Conn. – Mary Giuliano died at her home in East Norwalk on July 4, surrounded by family. She was 97.
Giuliano was born Dec. 14, 1914, in Altoona, Pa., to Andrew and Angelina Santella Morrone. She retired from Supreme Slipper Factory. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, traveling and spending time with her family.
She is survived by two daughters, Lucille Giuliano and Elizabeth Giuliano (Lorenzo Sr.) Mattera; a sister, Edelia Matteo; five grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Nicholas Giuliano, predeceased her. She also was predeceased by three sisters, Fanny Camparano, Jean Anastasia and Helen De Tomaso; and two brothers, Amerigo "Rick" Morrone and Frank Morrone.
Visitation is from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home in Norwalk. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Thomas the Apostle Church. Burial will follow at St. John's Mausoleum in Norwalk.
