ROWAYTON, Conn. - Marion (Mia) L. Christiansen, a longtime resident of Rowayton, died Dec. 1. She was 90.

Christiansen was born Aug. 8, 1923, to Lauritz and Hilda Halvorsen, of Stavanger, Norway. She grew up in the Norwegian neighborhood of Brooklyn. She was the executive assistant to the president of Scandinavian Airlines during the late 1940s and early 1950s.

Christiansen is survived by her son, Kevin; daughter, Margaret (George); and two grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents.

A graveside committal service for Christiansen will be held next summer in Stavanger, Norway, where she will be buried alongside her parents and grandparents in a historic cemetery.
