Margaret Callahan Anderson, 89, Of Norwalk, Bookkeeper At Fullam’s

NORWALK, Conn. - Margaret Callahan Anderson died of Norwalk died Thursday, Oct. 24. She was 89.

Anderson was born July 14, 1924, in Darien, daughter of John L. and Catherine Fox Callahan. She was raised in Darien and has lived most of her life in Norwalk. She worked for several years as a retail clerk and supervisor and her most recent employment was as a bookkeeper at Fullam’s in Norwalk. She was active in St. Mary’s School and Church in Norwalk and has been a parishioner of St. Matthew’s Church for the past several years.

Anderson is survived by her children, Margaret “Peggy” Kennedy (Arthur) of Redding and Tim Anderson of Norwalk; two grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Bernard W. Anderson; and siblings, John Callahan and Mary Whitehead.

There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 28 at St. Matthew Church, 216 Scribner Ave., Norwalk, with burial to follow at St. John Cemetery.
