Marcia Lynne Rossi, 72, Of Norwalk, Worked At American Cyanamid

NORWALK, Conn. - Marcia Lynne Rossi of Norwalk died Thursday, Oct. 10. She was 72.

Rossi was born Nov. 10, 1940, in Greenwich, daughter of Roswell T. and Mabel Gray Potter. She graduated from Greenwich High School in 1958 and continued her education at Catherine Gibbs. She worked at American Cyanamid, Purdue Frederick. She was a volunteer with The Children’s Connection, Americares and the Sons of Italy. She managed the Adopt-A-Platoon, which is an organization that sends care packages to troops in Afghanistan and Iraq. Rossi is survived by her husband, Larry; children, Cynthia DiMaria (Edward) of Monroe, Patricia Stack of Wilton and Michael T. Rossi (Bruna) of Norwalk; siblings, Paul T. Potter and Pamela Levine; and six grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents. Calling hours are Tuesday, Oct. 15 from 4 to 8 p.m. in Norwalk’s Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 5 East Wall St. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 16 at 9 a.m. directly at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 208 Newtown Ave., Norwalk. Interment will follow in Kensico Cemetery, Valhalla, N.Y.
