NORWALK, Conn. - Maddalena Cenatiempo Balestriere of Norwalk died Thursday, May 16. She was 84.
Balestriere was born in Italy, daughter of Filippo and Virginia Galano Cenatiempo. She was a seamstress and longtime Norwalk resident.
Balestriere is survived by children, Chris Balestriere (Frances) of Norwalk, Philip Balestriere of Stamford, Ann Siano (Carmine) of Norwalk, Teresa Siano of Norwalk and Virginia Graziosi (Angelo) of Old Brookville, N.Y.; 15 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; and husband, Francesco Balestriere.
Calling hours are Sunday, May 19 from 2 to 6 p.m. at Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Ave., Norwalk. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, May 20 in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 203 East Ave., Norwalk. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery, Richards Ave., Norwalk.
