NORWALK, Conn. – Lucian "Lut" John Rekosz of Norwalk died July 26 at Norwalk Hospital with family by his side. He was 83.
Born Jan. 7, 1929, in Stamford, he was the son of Stanley and Stanislawa Mosakowska Rekosz. He attended Holy Name School and J.M. Wright Technical School. He also served in the U.S. Navy.
Rekosz later worked for Pitney Bowes until his retirement. He was married to Marie Valensano Rekosz for 58 years.
He is survived by a son, Paul (Judy) Rekosz, of Norwalk; a daughter, Linda (Claudio) Zampino, of Madison, Conn.; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Rekosz was predeceased by four brothers, two sisters and a granddaughter, Lorrie Ann Rekosz.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Collins Funeral Home in Norwalk. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Matthew Church in Norwalk. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery in Norwalk.
