NORWALK, Conn. – Louis C. Kovacs Jr. of Norwalk died Sept. 17 at his home. He was 74.
He was born March 3, 1938, in Norwalk to Louis Kovacs Sr. and Elizabeth Balon Kovacs. A tenor, Kovacs sang with the Norwalk Choral Group for 50 years. His family said he drew some of his inspiration from Judy Garland.
Kovacs was also a member and supporter of Keystone House in Norwalk. He loved animals.
He is survived by a sister, Julia Adriani, of Winter Haven, Fla.; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by five sisters, Betty Uhl, Ethel Mangler, Helen Bassone, Mary Tyrrell and Margaret R. Tarone.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Riverside Cemetery in Norwalk. Magner Funeral Home in Norwalk is handling arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to PAWS, 504 Main Ave., Norwalk, CT 06851.
