NORWALK, Conn. Leslie Clark Chenard of Norwalk, formerly of Wilton, died Wednesday, Sept. 19, at Norwalk Hospital. She was 66.
Chenard was born Jan. 13, 1946, in Selma, Ala., to the late William Judson Clark and Dorothy Six Clark. She was married for 16 years to Napoleon "Nappy" Chenard, who survives her. A longtime member of S.T.A.R. Inc., she worked at Burger King and then Stop & Shop in Norwalk before retiring in 2010.
She enjoyed stock car racing and square dancing. Chenard was patriotic and proud to be a Mayflower descendant and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Despite the obstacles she faced in life, She was always joyful, happy and loving, her family said.
Chenard is survived by her husband, Nappy; a sister, Lyn Clark Posner Ribisi, of Los Angeles; and a stepsister, Michele McNutt, of Arroyo Grande, Calif.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Magner Funeral Home in Norwalk, with the Rev. Carleton Giles officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3 to 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
