Leo Cochrane, 51, Norwalk Business Founder

NORWALK, Conn. – Laurence Victor (Leo) Cochrane II, of Norwalk, died on Monday, Aug. 10, at his home. He was 51.

He was born in Baltimore to Hugh and Alice Cochrane, moving with the family from Pittsburgh to Darien in 1974.

Cochrane graduated from Darien High School and the University of Virginia, working as the northeast fleet manager for Enterprise Rent A Car and the director of domestic business development for Pursuit Dynamics.

He founded Active Air Solutions in 2012. The company specializes in providing energy efficient indoor air quality systems.

Cochrane is survived by his wife, Kelsey; daughter Ryan, son Quinn, two brothers, Hugh of London, England, and Allan of Vero Beach, Fla., and mother Alice Cochrane Betts and stepfather David Betts of Amanda, Ohio.

A memorial service was held on Aug. 15 at the First Congregational Church of Darien, where he was an active member.
