Kathleen Krenicki, 55, Teacher, Norwalk Public Schools

NORWALK, Conn. - Kathleen Krenicki of Norwalk died Oct. 5. She was 55.

Krenicki was born Nov. 18, 1957, in Brooklyn, daughter of Charles and Alice (Haywood) Higgins. She taught in the Norwalk Public Schools, served as the director of Special Education for the Diocese of Bridgeport and was the founder and executive director of the Timothy Memorial School, a small not-for-profit school for children with special needs. She was a member of St. Philips Church and an associate of the Congregation of the Blessed Sacrament.

Krenicki is survived by her father, Charles (Jane); her husband, Daniel Krenicki Jr.; children, Justin Krenicki, Mara DeBattista, Jonathan (Ashley) Krenicki, Korina (Dave Guerra) Parizo, Brynne Krenicki and Lydia Krenicki; eight grandchildren; two god-daughters; numerous nieces, nephews; and great nieces and nephews.

Calling hours are Wednesday, Oct. 9  from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 10 at St. Philip Church, Norwalk. Burial will be held privately. Memorial donations may be made to St. Philip Church, 1 Fr. Conlin Pl, Norwalk, CT 06851 or Congregation of the Blessed Sacrament, 5384 Wilson Mills Road, Cleveland, OH 44143.
