NORWALK, Conn. -- Norwalk resident Josephine (Segers) Hamm died Monday, Jan. 25. She was 95.
Born in Belgium, Hamm and her husband traveled extensively across the United States. She loved spending time with her family, feeding her backyard birds and enjoying frequent lunches at Duchess.
She is survived by her children, Robert L. Hamm and his wife Kelly of Bradenton, Fla.; daughter Marilyn H. Reid and her husband Kevin; five grandchildren, Brett and Audrey Hamm, Melissa Reid, Gregory Reid and his wife Samantha, and Steven Reid and his wife Estefania; a brother Peter Segers of the Bronx, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews.
Hamm was predeceased by her husband of of 58 years, Vincent Hamm; parents, Louis and Louise (Matthias) Segers; brother Henric Segers; and sisters Marion Hamm and Margaret Verrity.
A Mass will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 29 at St. Jerome Church, 23 Half Mile Road, Norwalk. Burial will be private. The Magner Funeral Home in Norwalk assisted with arrangements.
