He was born in Norwalk Jan. 29, 1953, the son of Joseph and Aldea Laramee Cote. He attended Norwalk schools and was a retired supervisor for the City of Norwalk Parks and Recreation Department for 40 years. He loved keeping his yard looking beautiful and spending time with family and friends. He always loved to help others.
He is survived by wife, Terry Hoyt Cote, whom he adored for 42 years; his children, Joseph Cote Jr. and Ashley Cote Smith (Drew); three brothers and two sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday, July 16 at 10 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 203 East Ave., Norwalk.
